How to clean a coffee/spice grinder
To clean a spice grinder, don’t bother trying to pull out the grinding mechanism and wiping it down with a Q-Tip. Instead, grind about a teaspoon of uncooked rice through it. Most of the coffee/spices will stick to the rice as it’s grinded through.

Have the filter basket empty. If you use a reusable filter, remove it.
Fill the reservoir up to the top with two parts water (tap works fine for me) to one part white vinegar.
Brew it.
Dump it out.
Fill the reservoir, again up to the top, with straight water.

How to unwrap a straw
Grab the end of the wrapper.
Peel it diagonally downwards, so that the wrapper comes off in one continuous spiral.
Whenever you deem fit, pull what remains of the wrapper straight down off the straw.
